Florina Magdalena Pȋnzaru

Florina Magdalena Pȋnzaru is an Associate Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Management from the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), Bucharest, Romania. She is Editor-in-Chief of Management Dynamics in the Knowledge Economy journal. Florina Pînzaru is member of two well-reputed international associations activating in the fields of knowledge management and information systems: International Association for Knowledge Management (IAKM) and Association for Information Systems (AIS). She has been a key participant to prestigious academic conferences as Co-Chair or Conference Chair, for example for the International Conference Strategica (editions held in 2013–2018) organized by SNSPA in partnership with the National Bank of Romania (http://www.strategica-conference.ro) and of the “12th European Conference on Management, Leadership and Governance ECMLG 2016” (http://www.academic-conferences.org/conferences/ecmlg/ecmlg-future-and-past/). Further, she was member of the scientific committee of the Global Economy and Governance International Conference GEG 2014, organized by SNSPA, the Romanian Academy, the Taiwan University, the Wuhan University in China and the Ming Chuan University in Taipei (http://www.gegresearch.org/fisiere/GEG_2014_Program.pdf) and member of the scientific committee of the ICICKM 2015 (International Conference on Intellectual Capital, Knowledge Management and Organizational Learning), which took place at the Bangkok University, Thailand, on 5–6 November 2015. Additionally, over the past 10 years, Florina Pînzaru has worked as a marketer and consultant for different corporations, coordinating large-scale projects on digital transformation. Her main research and professional interests are: social media and digitalization, online marketing, consumer behavior, and business development strategies.

Constantin Bratianu

Constantin Bratianu is professor of Strategic Management and Knowledge Management at the UNESCO Department for Business Administration, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania. He is the founding Director of the Research Center for Intellectual Capital, and the founding co-editor of the international journals: Management & Marketing, and Management Dynamics in the Knowledge Economy. He published more than 45 books and 200 scientific papers. He is an active member and chair session of the ECKM, ECIC and ICICKM conferences. He has been Visiting Professor at: University of Applied Sciences, Steyr, Austria; Our Lady of the Lake University, San Antonio, Texas, USA; Tokyo University of Science and Technology, Kobe University, and Osaka University, Japan. Constantin Bratianu proposed a change from the Newtonian paradigm of understanding knowledge based on the dyad of tacit and explicit knowledge to a new paradigm based on thermodynamics, and the concept of knowledge as a field. Also, he developed an entropic model for the organizational intellectual capital based on the idea of integrators and of transformation of the intellectual capital potential into an operational intellectual capital. He used to held the position of General Director for Higher Education in the Ministry of Education and Research in Romania (1998-2000), and that of Expert for Science and Education in the Romanian Parliament (2001).

Andreea Mitan

Andreea Mitan is a Lecturer in Communication and Marketing at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, Romania. She holds a PhD in Communication Studies since 2014, awarded for a thesis regarding youth identity and popular music preferences. With a focus on the deep connections between marketing, popular culture products and young audiences, her research interests gravitate towards music marketing strategies in the digital age. She is the author of the first Romanian academic book on the topic of music marketing, and she received in 2016 a best-seller award from Tritonic publishing house for the book The essential guide to promotional techniques [Ghid esențial de promovare], which she co-authored. A selection of her research can be found below. During the last ten years she also worked as a marketing expert in several national and international projects related to entrepreneurship and culture (2007-current), she worked in academic program management (2013-current), and she was a guest lecturer at VIVES University College in Belgium (2016).

Alexandra Vițelar

Alexandra Vițelar is a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Management, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, covering subjects such as: Marketing Fundamentals, Promotion Techniques in Business, Business Globalization and European Economy, Innovation Management. She has a PhD degree in Communication Sciences and her thesis was focused on the link between euroscepticism and the economic crisis in Romania. She was involved in different projects focused on entrepreneurship and on the digital strategies of companies. Her main teaching and research interests are in areas such as digital marketing, consumer behavior, innovation management and entrepreneurship. She is the author of several studies related toGeneration Y behaviours in relation to the online medium, the use of storytelling in the banking industry, or innovation mamangement for SMEs, and she also published, as a co-author, a book on the subject of leadership and management.

Ramona-Diana Leon

Ramona-Diana Leon is a Senior Lecturer in Management Simulations, Knowledge Management, and Intercultural Management at the National University of Political and Public Administration. She received her PhD in Management from the “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi. She worked in several projects about knowledge management, strategic management, and quality management in various sectors of activity such as education, textile or consulting services. Her main teaching and research interests lie in the areas of knowledge management, intercultural management and strategic management,with a special focus on intellectual capital valuation and strategic implications. In the last five years, Ramona published several books, book chapters and articles in the field of knowledge management, strategic management, quality management, intellectual capital and emotional intelligence. Besides, she serves as an editorial board member for numerous international and national journals and conferences and she is a full member of the International Association for Knowledge Management. She also has a wide experience in Europe, collaborating with academics and managers from Romania, Spain, and UK.

Laurențiu-Mihai Treapăt

Laurențiu-Mihai Treapăt is a Senior University Lecturer, PhD in Economics (PhD thesis in Banking Risk Management and Insurance), with 25 years of professional expertise in Banking Risk and Management, lending and operations, counting many participations in International Conferences on management and risk administration, lending and leadership. He is Economist, graduate of Program “Banking Administration” of the Romanian – French Institute for Firms Administration in 1994. He collaborated with the EU Council in Brussels, within an international project he won further to tender, for delivering training in risk management, as a senior specialist and former Risk Executive Manager in a leading bank (BCR Head Office – Erste Group). Laurențiu led the bank team that developed and managed the implementation of an extensive restructuring program with more than 75 different change projects with the EBRD & IFC. He acted as a promoter of change management techniques within the bank and worked together with international investors, as well as with foreign consultants and partners (E&Y, PWC, Oracle, IDS Scheer, Goodwood Financial Consulting). At the Faculty of Management, he teaches Finance, Management of Financial Risk, Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, and co-ordinates student workshops on Banks and Financial Institutions. Currently, Laurențiu is the Director of the Master’s Programme in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. Participating at many international conferences and seminars in finance, banking, risk management, insurance, operational risk in Italy, Germany, GB, Ireland, Hungary, Spain, he authored 6 academic books and more than 25 papers published in academic journals, indexed in the Web of Science and other international databases.

Mariana Nicolae

Mariana Nicolae is a Professor of English and business communication with the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies (AES-Bucharest) and the director of the Master in International Business Communication programme delivered in English. She holds a university degree in English literature and linguistics from the University of Bucharest, Romania, a Ph.D. in Education from the same university, and a doctoral degree in Economics with a focus on leadership in higher education from AES-Bucharest. Besides teaching, research and academic and project management, her current duties involve institutional building, coaching and mentoring, networking with people and organizations, publishing, travelling both in-country and abroad to attend conferences and seminars and organizing (inter)national conferences in Romania. She was a Fulbright senior scholar in 2005 and participated as an expert evaluator in the Framework Programme FP7 of the European Union. She is a founding member of the English-Speaking Union-Romania, an honorary member of Phi Beta Delta, Gamma Lambda CSUSB, member of the Romanian Association for American Studies, of the Association for Women Entrepreneurship Development, and of the Society for Business Excellence.

Patrizia Gazzola is an Associate Professor of Management, Business Combination and Business Planningat the Department of Economics, University of Insubria, Varese, Italy. Andreia Gabriela Andrei

Andreia Gabriela Andrei works within Interdisciplinary Research Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, and teaches Marketing, Operational & Relational Marketing, and Consumer Psychology at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi. Andreia received her Ph.D. degree in 2012 from the same university. Her research areas concern marketing, branding, consumer behavior, social cognition, social capital and knowledge management. Besides researching and teaching, Andreia is having a 15 years business experience in marketing and IT project management. She is also a member of IAKM (International Association for Knowledge Management) and AIS (Association for Information Systems), and she recently served as reviewer for several Emerald journals.

Elena-Alexandra Gorgos

Elena-Alexandra Gorgos holds a PhD. in Communication Sciences (SNSPA). She is serving as a Reviewer for Strategica conference whose proceedings volumes are indexed in the Web of Science. Since 2014, she has authored more than 15 papers on the topic of network society and Europeanization in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. Her main research interest is the communication via new media of the European legislation, with a special focus on today’s technological dynamics and challenges. Other research strands encompass e-commerce, online social networks, intellectual capital and the in-depth process of Europeanization.

Georgiana Cristea

Georgiana Cristea is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Management (SNSPA) – where she teaches Organizational Diagnosis and Behavior, Managerial Communication, External Communication and at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations – where she teaches Management and Marketing – Communicational Perspectives. For more than twelve years, she worked for different corporations, occupying several roles in Training, Learning and Development and Talent Management departments. Georgiana has five years of experience in consultancy, with both local and international clients, working for many projects as a HR Consultant. This experience helped her understand the business from both sides: people and results. As a consultant, she was involved in complex HR consultancy projects (outplacement projects, assessment centers, development centers, managerial recruitment projects and organizational transformation). Specialized in Human Resources and Managerial Communication, Georgiana is now a PhD candidate in Communication Sciences, focusing on the role of the managerial communication in the context of virtual workplaces. She published papers on the topic and on related issues in various journals and in international conferences proceedings, indexed in the Web of Science. Her main research interests are managerial communication, intellectual capital, virtual teams, Generation Y, organizational theory and diagnosis.

Vlad-Andrei Alexandru

Vlad-Andrei Alexandru is a PhD candidate in Methods and Models for Economic Decisions at University of Insubria, Varese, Italy and member of the Center for Research in Management (CRM) at SNSPA. For the past five years, he has been the General Manager of a company operating internationally in the metallurgical industry. He is Assistant Editor of Management Dynamics in the Knowledge Economy journal and is serving as a Reviewer for Kybernetes and Strategica proceedings volumes (indexed in the Web of Science). So far, he has authored over 20 papers on the aforementioned topics, in both peer-reviewed academic journals and conference proceedings. His research interests are focused on business internationalization, family business, entrepreneurship, intellectual capital, organizational agility and networked value chains at the global level.

Monica Pătruț

Monica Pătruț is a Doctor of Political Sciences (2008). Currently she is senior lecturer in political science at “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău, Romania. Her domains of research are political communication and social media. She is member of the editorial advisory board of BRAND: Broad Research in Accounting, Negotiation, and Distribution. She published several academic books on political communication and social media and papers in (inter)national journals like Public Relations Review, Journal of Media Research, Sociologia Românească and Sfera Politicii. She is co-editor of the books Social Media in Higher Education: Teaching in Web 2.0, Social Media and the New Academic Environment: Pedagogical Challenges (IGI Global, Hershey, USA, 2013), Web 2.0 in Education and Politics. Dan-Cristian Dabija

Dan-Cristian Dabija, PhD, is Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing and PhD Supervisor in Marketing at the PhD School in Business and Economics of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania. Dr. Dabija completed his PhD Studies at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania, and has been awarded several doctoral and postdoctoral research scholarships at Romanian, German, British and Finish universities. Dr. Dabija has recently lead a research project on sustainability in retailing financed by the Romanian National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation (125,000 EUR). He has published in various journals, has participated in numerous conferences (European Marketing Academy Conference, World Marketing Congress, Annual MBAA International Conference, Annual North American ACR Conference, RESER), and serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for Amfiteatru Economic, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Global Marketing, and Marketing Education Review, as well as for Romanian and European research projects. Dr. Dabija has conducted different trainings on project management, retailing, retail marketing, marketing, sales and promotions in summer schools, companies and human resources development courses. He enjoyed research stages at universities from Austria, Finland, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Poland, United Kingdom. Recently, he published in Romanian the second edition of the book To conceive, to write and to publish a scientific article in business and economics, which was awarded in late 2017 the first book prize of the Romanian Association of Economic Faculties.

Andreea Melinte is an experienced Marketing and Communication professional, with an MSc in Psychology from the University of East London. She has proven track record in conducting research in Cognitive Psychology that looks at new emerging technology with the potential to enhance cognitive performance and modulate brain activity. Recently, she has written a compelling study in the field which has benefited from a positive feedback from the researchers and practitioners attending the international conference Strategica 2018.
